This little tool will help you to remove hooks with ease. It is perfectly usable for dry flies or small nymphs. Just guide the loop over the tippet. Then you slide it over your eg dry fly to the bent of the hook and you can remove the hook within sconds. You do not need to take the fish out of the water.
This tool can also be used during non-flyfishing fishing trips. The tool has an o-ring on the back thus you can attach it to a retractable cord or a zinger.

These small, extremely strong rings were made public by the famous fly fisherman Edgar Pitzenbauer and used in the grayling fishing.
