Immer, wenn Köcherfliegen im freien Wasser schlüpfen, lösen die rundlichen, meist ansehnlich großen Aufsteiger und Auskriecher heftige Aktivität der Fische aus. Diese Aufstiegs- und Auskriecher-Phase wird durch die CDC-Yellowhead Caddis Pupa effizient dargestellt. Das auffällige, dicke Köpfchen des Musters imitiert die Gasfüllung in der Puppenhaut, die den Aufsteiger an die Oberfläche trägt. Welch besonderer Reiz häufig von gelben Partien einer Trockenfliege ausgeht, haben sicherlich schon viele beobachten können. Meine persönlichen Erfahrungen weisen unzweideutig in diese Richtung. Ich bin nicht nur überzeugt davon, daß Gelb zeitweise unentbehrlich ist, sondern daß man seinen Reiz durch starke Betonung noch erhöhen kann. Der dicke gelbe Kopf in Verbindung mit dem in meiner „Integral-Technik", d.h. aus Pfauen- und CDC-Fibern gedubbten, rundlichen Körper ergeben ein Muster, das schlüpfende Sedges erfolgreich nachahmt. Das Gelb macht die Fliege zudem beim schwachen Licht spätabendlicher Köcherfliegen-Schlüpfe hervorragend sichtbar. Gefischt wird die CDC-Yellowhead entweder in normaler Trockenfliegen- Manier stromauf oder aber querüber und dann furchend. Bei dieser Anbieteweise fischt sie besonders wirksam, wenn man sie leicht unter Wasser zieht und mit ruckartigen Bewegungen führt.

The positive turn over qualities of all of our leaders is an accepted fact amongst fly fisherman. This leader presents all sizes of dry fly accurately and precisely. It can also be used for weighted nymphs and jigs that don't have to be fished at great depths. The Trout Special comes with either a Super-Quick-Joint or Loop to Loop joint.

Tippet Rings (Pitzenbauer Ringerl)
These small, extremely strong rings were made public by the famous fly fisherman Edgar Pitzenbauer and used in the grayling fishing. Meanwhile, these rings have spread all over the world among fly fishermen.
They are tied to the end of your leader (conical, braided or linear) and allow you again and again to re-tie your leader at the end, without shortening the length of the leader. The individual rings are rounded inside and out and are therefore very smooth. These rings have no solder joint. Thus, a "break point" was prevented and the surface remains very smooth. The rings are extremely light and durable. Also suitable for floating leaders.
Especially modern Nymph fishermen use these rings in an enormously wide range of applications. By using it, you will ultimately save money, as your leaders will only have to shorten their fly changes in the front leader material. In addition, the field of application is very diverse. You can use these rings to tie in Springer flies or pike felts, or even use them when drop shot fishing.
Recommendation: we strongly advise you to use the rings when using Fluorocarbon leaders / leader material in combination with regular nylon, as this material is apt to cut through the surface hardness of other types of nylon. With a leader ring that does not happen anymore.
Even with the use of polyleaders / Versileaders the use of the leader rings is recommended because it no longer shortens the polyleader and the life can be increased enormously.
